The BRD Tower was the second major high-rise building that ACMS GC
executed the structural works for. This 87 meters high building is one
of the tallest in Bucharest and a landmark in the Victoriei Square,
overlooking the entire square. It has 19 floors and a surface of 37,000
sqm plus an additional 3 floors underground for parking.
ACMS GC was selected as the subcontractor for the structural works by Soconac, a company from the Vinci Group, because ACMS GC was one of the very few construction companies at that time that has very strict quality control norms, ISO 9001/2000. ACMS GC stood out in the management of resources, which allowed for a great construction speed, accomplishing 1 floor per week towards the end of the structure. This was achieved through careful planning of resources – manpower, equipment, financial and materials, and through the implementation of time saving and value engineering procedures.
